I could have sworn I saw Meighyn today. Her hair, her shoes, her purse, her adorable little jumper.
At first I was blinded by the sun. When I adjusted my vision she was standing there in front of me, facing north.
She was looking at her phone, slowly walking down the median. I couldn't help but stare, jaw agape. As she walked out of my line of vision, I sat down in the seat of my grammaw's old Saturn.
I expected to see her on the other side of the lamp post as I drove away. But the girl had gone.
The vision had gone.
& I didn't get to see her smile.
